Mantis

Last year we had so much fun raising our butterflies (for months, with seizures) that we decided to try mantis. Fortunately they were cute, tiny, amazing, and a delight to have. Unfortunately, I failed at becoming a nurturing baby mantis mama and they died. (Well, not all of them, I released a lot and still see growing mantis in my gardens that I like to think are the ones I didn't kill.)

P.S. To all those that I promised baby mantis to--alive baby mantis--and failed to deliver, please accept my apologies. I have high hopes for next year with a new strategy in mind.
