Last week my friend encouraged me to start taking pictures of Liza and her amazing sense of style. The next day she was wearing this and I thought it was a good time to start.

I blinked
Alison and Stuart have been going to first grade so Liza and I suddenly have a lot more time together. It is wonderful and difficult all rolled into one untidy little package. I hear often through the day, "Mommy pway wif me. I's wonewy."
She's been the tag along for her whole life. Being woken from nearly every nap to pick kids up, drop kids off, spend days at appointments, and playing big kid games. It's a strange sensation for both of us now that part of the day is directed soley by the Lu.
Eliza is an intensely delightful child. She loves being the boss. She loves trying new things. She loves doing everything all by herself. She loves growing and learning. Very little intimidates her. Certainly not her two bigger siblings--she will put her weight behind her and take them on. There are definitely times her spunk makes things so much easier. Like when she declared herself big enough for nursery at 14 months and proceeded to love every minute of it, every Sunday, every ward (ours or not). But somedays it seems like she is banishing and exiling all her babyness much more quickly than I am prepared for.
Today I took her to her first dance lesson (more on that later, hopefully with a video). Love. Then we went to the preschool that she is a few weeks under the cutoff age for. They agreed to let her do a trial week. She was thrilled with the kids and the playground and the rules and has talked incessently about going back to Ewiza's school and dance class since.
And I came home, took a picture of her sleeping and became nostalgic. A blink.
