We Believe in Child Labor

Peeling Tomatoes (Actually, last week, Alison came upstairs from playing to find that I had already peeled all the tomatoes for the spaghetti sauce. After telling me, "I wanted to wash tomatoes too!" she burst into tears.)

Winding yarn into balls for my new sweater (I've been waiting for this day--when they turn the winder in the same direction, consistently, so they help make balls instead of very complicated knots. They concentrate so hard.)

Of course, I pay for their labors in pumpkin hats.

Being Together

I love three. Alison and Stuart are at such a fun age. Though they are occaisonally worst enemies (though less and less frequently), they are more often best friends. I often wonder what they would do without each other.
