Poof! They turned eight

Alison and Stuart turned 8 this month and chose to be baptized.  Ryan and I are so pleased with the marvelous, compassionate, sweet people they are and their decisions.  Oh how we love our twins.

Happy Birthday Eliza

LuLu turned three last month.  I think three will be her year.  She was so excited for her birthday parties.  Ryan went to work, Stuart and Alison went to school and we had tea parties for her birthday (followed with a family dinner & cake in the evening).  Her butterfly tea party was absolutely magical and sheer delight Liza had for her birthday made me truly wish for more three year old parties.

Easter

Easter photos are very sparse.  I wanted to take pictures before church but of course with the excitement of the morning there was little time.

IMG_0834 (853x1280)And then before my very first snap of Liza, she dropped her new Easter book on her toe and started crying.  I put the camera away and gave up, thinking I’d grab something after church.  IMG_0835 (853x1280)This year’s Easter dresses were very ambitious.  I spent more than one evening up after 1 or 2 in the morning trying to make my deadline.  I put the dress on Liza on the way out the door and an hour later it had chocolate and blue crayon on it and she had ripped out the hem.  (Not pulled out, or the hem came out… literally RIPPED.)  The sewing portion of my heart was a little broken and the crack carried past onto the Easter photography portion of my heart. We do in fact still have Stuart and he was wearing a darling bowtie.  It was a lovely day.  The weather was perfect, church was nice, kids enjoyed the festivities.  I’ll post details on the dresses at NightSew and retake pictures in the dresses soon after I figure out what to do to salvage Lizee’s.  IMG_0838 (853x1280)

The chickens were so curious about the eggs, darling birds.
